At first glance or maybe two, this yellow cushion cut stone appears to be a fine yellow sapphire. But it is not to be. In fact, this very attractive medium yellow color cut amber has such a high polish and brilliancy even the most keen eyed gemologist could easily have mistaken its identity. This one is one of our favorites. Weighs 1.35 carats and measures 10.5x9.5x5.9 mm. LA/July 31, 2009 |
